The beginning of the fall

2019 was the year that marked the rapid fall of the Lebanese economy, few months before Covid-19 started spreading, the Lebanese people were already facing severe financial problems, the local market started witnessing the shutdown and withdrawal of most multinational corporations and investors which reflected a spike in unemployment rates reaching around 30% at the time, triggering a domino effect to which increased poverty, pushing the majority of the Lebanese population who were barely making ends meet deeper below poverty lines…
